Meng, after releasing the Wingnut Wings nearly completed the 1/32nd Dr.1 model, has surprised us with a 1/24th version of the iconic aircraft. Unlike the 1/32nd kit, though, the 1/24th kit does not include all the parts to create the pre-production F.1 version.
The kit includes approximately 174 plastic parts on eight sprues (one is doubled), molded in grey. It also includes a photo-etch fret with eighteen parts, of which sixteen are for the pilot’s harness. Also, the harnesses are pre-cut belts out of a textured fabric. There is also a clear fret with six parts. A bonus is two machined brass cooling jackets for the LMG guns.
