Description:
It may seem strange that Bristol's Blenheim was ever used as a bomber. After all, it was developed from the firm's Type 142, which first flew in 1935 and was found to be faster than many contemporary RAF fighters at the time.
However, the powers that be decreed that the type be ordered for service as a medium bomber. That said, Blenheims were converted for interceptor operations with the addition of a ventral gun pack, and Airfix produced a new-tool 1/48 kit of this Mk.IF (Fighter) version in 2018. The offering was highly praised and this re-release includes markings for two Mk.I bombers, one of them a Greece-based aircraft during 1941, which is the subject of this build.
