Aqueous Hobby Color is a very easy to use and safe paint to use. With it's water solubility, it's easy to clean and can be thinned with water (if desired). Aqueous Hobby Color is gloss in finish.
When brush painting, generally 1 to 2 coats are recommended, and 2 to 3 coats when using an air brush. If painting a light color over a darker base surface, more coats of paint may be required.
